| 内容記述 | Present research investigated the influences of social and developmental factors on male and female gender-role attitudes among male and female workers. Six-hundred adult male and female employed workers rated the egalitarian sex-role attitude scale (SESRA) and the traditional male-role attitude scale (i.e., male gender-role attitudes). Result showed that women scored higher on SESRA than men, implying that women have more egalitarian gender role attitudes toward woman. On the other hand, regarding the traditional male role scale, men had powerful male images, while women had male images with high social status. Multiple regression analysis indicated that only gender and education predicted female role attitudes, but marital status, presence of children, and position did not. On the other hand, marital status, presence of children, and position predicted male role attitudes. We discussed the influences of social and developmental factors on male and female gender-role attitudes in Japan. | |||||||||
