However, there has always been a problem with color change, roughness of surfaces and peeling away from acrylic resin during long term clinical use. In the past few years, soft lining materials monomers and polymers have also been modified to improve not only physical and mechanical properties, but also the working properties that facilitate laboratory techniques which apply to denture construction. \"Lite Line\" is a one-component polyether urethane dimethacrylate resin material which is resilient in nature without the use of leachable plasticizers. Because of the similarity in the chemistry of acrylic denture bases and that material, long term adhesion to existing denture surfaces is possible.
