A 12-year-old boy complained of pain in the right first molar region. Radiographic examinations demonstrated a relatively well-demarcated radiolucent lesion in the right maxilla with marked root resorption of the upper first molar, and the involved bone showed irregular radiolucency. These findings suggested the clinical diagnosis of maxillary cyst. Under general anesthesia, we enucleated the capsula of the bone cavity, and extracted the upper first molar after frozen diagnosis. The final diagnosis was simple bone cyst. We hypothesize that the cause of root absorption was related to the expansion of the cyst in the furcation area., application/pdf}, pages = {28--32}, title = {著しい歯根吸収を伴った上顎単純性骨嚢胞の1例}, volume = {32}, year = {2006} }
