Postoperative observation was made for up to three years. The results are summarized as follows. 1. Most of the patients were around ten years old in the period of exchanging the buccal segment. 2. The permament mandibular second premolars were involved in most of the cases. 3. The chief complaint was mainly painless swelling in the buccal gingiva or cheek. 4. In most of the cases, the preceding primary tooth was destroyed to the rootrest, or had periapical lesion or abnormal resorption of the roots due to root canal treatment, which was considered as one of the factors of growth of the cyst. 5. In all cases, radiographically, the border of the radiolucent image was clear, and the cyst was uni-locular. The permanent succesor with the open apex was surounded by the cyst. 6. Histopathologically, these cases were diagnosed as the folicular cyst or the eruption cyst. The inflammatory cellular infiltration was found in all cases. 7. The cysts disapeared after the operation in two to four months. Inpacted teeth erupted in almost normal position. In order to prevent the secondary infection and to keep the operation field open, drain gauze was used with antibiotic ointment, which was very effective. 8. The operation was performed under nitrous oxide/oxygen inhalation and intravenous sedation of diazepam, which was very effective in managing the behavior of children., application/pdf}, pages = {212--226}, title = {開窓療法により嚢胞内永久歯を保存し得た小児の含歯性嚢胞の7例}, volume = {9}, year = {1983} }
