Various accidents during dental treatment including aspiration or accidental ingestion of prostheses and fractures or aberrant position of dental devices. Inappropriate measures and management of such foreign bodies sometimes cause risks of serious complications. Here, we report a 68-year-old male with retained foreign body in the esophageal diverticula due to aspiration during dental treatment. This case allowed us to closely reexamine the need for patient reassurance during management as well as preventive measures at the onset of medical accidents during dental treatment.
