This paper considers and outlines the culture and society of Balinese people in Indonesia based on previous research and the fieldwork experience. This is to lay the foundation for more specific studies on Balinese culture in future.As a composition, Chapter 1 describes the nature and history of Bali and the world view of Balinese people, Chapter 2 describes a multidimensional society organized by various groups from territorial and blood ties to art, and Chapter 3 describes the religious life based on Balinese Hinduism.
